Description
This picture is printed borderless on a heavy, textured paper – Giclée Hahnemühle German Etching.
Inspired by Parkgate front and the coastline of the Wirral – my Water/Land paintings.
The lighthouse as a subject is important to me.
I am recalled to my first reading of Virginia Woolf’s To The Lighthouse when I was 16. This opened so many doors in my sense of what our creativity might accomplish.
The image of the lighthouse remains to me a sign of noble calling and direction – a clarity and purpose in the midst of the storm.
